Photography is the language of light. Seeing through a camera encourages us to slow down and become more mindful of the beauty around us.
In this mini-retreat in Catherine's studio, you will learn practices for bringing mindfulness and awareness to the photographs you make so that your photographs more fully express the feeling a scene evokes in you.You will also discover how to use your iPhone or Android phone to photograph close-up scenes which can open you up to seeing the world in a totally new way.
You will then discover how to add your creative touch to the images by enhancing them on your iPhone, iPad or Android device with photo apps that are easy to use.
What use are photographs if they just stay on your phone or computer? On the second day of this mini-retreat, you will learn a number of ways to use your photographs to create inspirational items which will include a set of photo cards with quotations, photo gift boxes, a portable altar-like book form to hold photographs, quotes and more.
We will meet on both Friday and Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
Cost is $275. Included in the cost of this retreat is your very own Easy-macro lens and a set of The Creative Photographer Exploration Cards to Expand Your Creativity which will set you up for continuing to explore ways to use your camera at home. Lunch on both days as well as all the supplies to make your creative projects are also included. Not included is the cost of developing any of the photographs you create to use in your projects.
