This 9 night, 10 day retreat in the Province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, will include three nights at the Buddhist Retreat Center in Ixopo (which is, according to CNN, one of the ten best meditation centers in the world) four nights at a Big 5 Private Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal, and two nights at a seaside town near Durban. We will start our time together in a soulful way surrounded by the beauty of the Ixopo Hills walking the labyrinth and learning how to see with our souls and our senses through the lens of the camera. There are so many wonderful photographic opportunities in the varied landscapes we will be visiting.
We will visit Woza Moya and spend time in the Ofafa valley with the rural inhabitant learning more about how they live in this area. Catherine has been returning regularly to this area for the past twenty years and her association with the people of Woza Moya has been life-changing.
While in the Game Reserve we will have the opportunity to go on game drives each morning and afternoon in open Land Cruisers with our own game ranger. The reserve is host to lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo, as well as a variety of beautiful birds. The bush and valley landscape of the Nambiti Game Reserve is amazing.
The cost of $3,595 includes all accommodation, meals. hot drinks, conservation fees, and transport while in South Africa, as well as a donation to Woza Moya for hosting us. It excludes airfare to South Africa, drinks, and any gratuities to game rangers and hotel staff.
