Your Mythic Story as a Portal to Possibility: Listening Yourself into Being with SoulCollage® and the Labyrinth

  • St Francis Springs Prayer Center, 477 Grogan Road, Stoneville, NC (map)

Using the process of SoulCollage® and the labyrinth, this five-day retreat will give you the time and space to listen deeply to your Soul to discover who it is you came here to be - what in SoulCollage® is known as your “SoulEssence”. The labyrinth, a three-dimensional archetype and metaphor for the journey of life, can take us to the center of our Self and give us a deeper understanding of who we are and what we came here to do.

Both the labyrinth and SoulCollage® are gentle guides for times when you are on the threshold of transition or feel like you are standing on shifting sands. This time of unknowing and uncertainty can also be a time of rich possibility.

In this retreat we will explore these growing edges of life, and listen for what our Soul wants for us.

Your life is a sacred journey. And it is about change, growth, discovery, movement, transformation, continuously expanding your vision of what is possible, stretching your soul, learning to see clearly and deeply, listening to your intuition, taking courageous challenges at every step along the way. You are on the path... exactly where you are meant to be right now... And from here, you can only go forward, shaping your life story into a magnificent tale of triumph, of healing of courage, of beauty, of wisdom, of power, of dignity, and of love.

During our time together you will explore the Archetypes at play in your life through the SoulCollage® process. We will touch on the shadow, synchronicity and how the patterns and path of your story weaves into the Larger Story of the planet.

You will be provided with a rich supply of images to create your SoulCollage® cards and have ample opportunity to create in the peace of the retreat center (you will have 24 hour access to our creative space). The labyrinth walks will offer an opportunity to integrate and expand your connection to the images which are speaking to you. The pace of the retreat will be slow so you can dive deep, and all activities will be optional.

Activities will include:

  • SoulCollage® card making time

  • Labyrinth walks

  • Using your cards in conjunction with a labyrinth walk

  • Inspired story-writing using imagery and the imagination

  • Creating SoulCollage® portal and doorway cards

  • Using your cards for guidance on the connection between your mythic story and the gifts you have to offer and the Larger Story

  • How to use your cards and the labyrinth to support you on your journey after the Retreat

Each participant will receive:

  • A box with supplies to make your SoulCollage® cards

Like the acorn that contains the mighty oak, everything within you is encoded in a certain way for you to blossom to your fullest. The spiritual task is to develop your potential to the fullest ... Hurdles get put in your way that will slow you down and frustrate you. But if you have a practice that supports your efforts, you can reach into your depths and find the strength.

I believe this is one of the oldest and most generous tricks the universe plays on us human beings, both for its own amusement and for ours: The universe buries strange jewels deep within us all, and then stands back to see if we can find them. The hunt to uncover those jewels — that’s creative living.
